Hi Team JetBrains,

I paid $99 for a personal license, upgrade is $89. As far as I'm concerned (and I did try 3.0 for a month) it's just not worth paying again when I have no guarantee that my investment won't be made worthless again in 6 months when you release version 4. Sorry but I'd rather pay slightly more for a product that guarantees me feature upgrades. Especially as you're cagey about your roadmap for new versions.

Thom.

PS Your blog software loses your post if you get the CAPTCHA wrong so now I'm even more irritated after typing this for a second time!

Dear Thom,
We're sorry to hear about your disappointment about version 2.5. We've introduced a number of productivity-enhancing tools and overall improvements in version 3.0 that many users think are worth using. The feedback has been very positive so far--and the cost of upgrading to ReSharper 3.0 (to any edition) is noticeably lower than the cost of the previous ReSharper version.
We hope you'll give ReSharper 3.0 a try and discover its added value.
Best regards,
- Team JetBrains

I am very disappointed that the licence I purchased in January is now effectively useless and will be charged as much as I paid in the first place if I want the latest features and support. Given the terrible state of early 2.5 builds and the time I spent submitting bug reports that went towards the much more stable 2.5.3 I feel let down and angry. Time to evaluate CodeRush methinks…
