We are pleased to announce the release of TeamCity 1.2 – an integrated team environment – aimed at improving the productivity of .NET platform developers.

This new version of TeamCity provides:

• a plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005,
• Visual SourceSafe 2005 and 6.0 support.

TeamCity integration plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 enables navigation to the results of the failed tests from TeamCity’s Build Results page to Microsoft Visual Studio editor in just one click. To achieve this, download the plugin from the My Settings page in the TeamCity Add-ons area, complete a simple installation wizard, set up a project in TeamCity, and enjoy the new workflow!

The nearest minor TeamCity 1.2 release is aimed at improving the productivity and the support for the continuous integration process of .NET platform developers. It also contains a number of bugfixes and improvements.

The final release is scheduled for January 15, 2007. In the meantime, we invite you to download the first Release Candidate of TeamCity 1.2.

New feature highlights are:

• integration with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
• support of Visual SourceSafe 2005 and 6.0

The integration plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 can be downloaded from My Settings page; the installation procedure is quick and straightforward. After you have installed a plugin, you can jump from the results of failed tests on TeamCity’s Build Results page to the TeamCity Stacktrace View in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.



When creating a new project in TeamCity, select Visual SourceSafe from the list of available version control systems and specify the VCS project root values.

To successfully run the TeamCity 1.2 release candidate, you can either use the existing 1.0 or 1.1 license key, or request a 60-day trial key by completing a short evaluation form.

We are glad to launch the long-awaited early access program for the next versions of TeamCity, namely 1.2 and Agra (a codename of 1.5 version).

The nearest minor release (1.2) is mostly aimed at supporting the continuous integration process of .NET platform developers. It already provides:

• integration with Visual Studio and possibility to open the stacktraces of failed tests when you click the link of failed test on the web.
• support of Visual SourceSafe 2005 and 6.0 to manage your source files revisions.

Please note: in this EAP you will need to have VSIP (Visual Studio Industry Partner) SDK to use Visual Studio add-in for TeamCity (available at Microsoft web-site for free). Please visit http://affiliate.vsipmembers.com/ for details. This will certainly be fixed in the next EAP and release versions.
