Sure, you can infer that someone might use Netbeans for Java EE 5 stuff because they deploy to Glassfish, but it could be for other reasons. Personally, I use IDEA for core dev work, codebase comprehension and refactoring, Netbeans for ME,EE,Swing and Eclipse only because I'm often forced to. The upcoming Netbeans 6, might cause IDEA to drop out of that list. It doesn’t really allow you to say why you might use more than one IDE.
