Hi,
I really welcome Intellij for web development but there is one serious deficiency that I yet to see it resolves. The Web Preview window is very useful for web development especially for Javascript testing and css/html design. However, it is totally unusable as it keep refreshing for every keystroke pause if the particular web file is still in editing (eg abc.html). It is akin to running Java app automatically as you are still coding the logic. At first, I thought it might be a bug but it is not. It is designed to work this way as there is no option to manually refresh the file. This probably due to the design that any external change to a file will be reflected ASAP in Intellij. This doesn't make sense for Preview Window.

Can Intellij personal look into it? Preview Window should not auto-refresh the page when the html file is opened in Intellij.
I have added this in Jira since June.
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-22872

I raise this issue here because preview window is also available for IntelliJ IDEA for HTML and PHP Developers.

thx...

The Ruby plugin is not available for IntelliJ IDEA 9.0M1. A version of the plugin compatible with IntelliJ IDEA 9 will be released at a later time.

I am delighted to hear the news about JetBrains Web IDE. I am one of those developers who uses RubyMine for its great JavaScript and HTML editors, navigation, refactoring tools, built in source control support, to name just a few reasons.
