After a change from sometime before IDEA 10.5, the font now has variable width (i.e. it is no longer monospaced). Variable width font is horrible for coding. Please can you see to getting this fixed before IDEA 11 is released. A fix is available in the first comment of IDEA-70119, http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/IDEA-70119#comment=27-231778.
