IntelliJ IDEA 11 Release Candidate Available
December 1st, 2011 by Eugene ToporovHi All!
On this first day of winter (or summer for some of you) and the first day of the Advent calendar, we’re announcing IntelliJ IDEA 11 Release Candidate availability.
Check out the list of changes since the last Beta and download IntelliJ IDEA 11 RC now. Please let us know if you find a problem with the build.
Note: the Ultimate edition RC build already requires a valid IntelliJ IDEA 11 license. So, if you got your license during the “Free Upgrade” offer, it will work. Otherwise, just start the 30-day evaluation.
Develop with pleasure!

Great news. Ive evaluated beta2 yesterday, its seems to be very stable, new UI + git support is awesome.
Is upgrade license already available for IDEA 10 Ultimate users?

Is there a way to combine 2 bottom toolbars into a single one? I mean, there are 2 toolbars: one with “TODO”, “Changes” and “Event Log”, and another one with memory allocation, some icons, etc.
Last one has a lot of free space; why these 2 toolbars are separated?

Hi,
I noted that 11 does not allow ruby plugins installation. Is that a bug ??? Or do we need to wait some day ??
Thanks
Andrea

Was going to hit upgrade, as I have regularly - then I tried ruby integration and it wasn’t there. When will this be available - otherwise I wont upgrade?

Ah - If you browse the repositories the Ruby plug-in is there, not in the main repo.
Yay.
This version is so fast and slick!
