IntelliJ IDEA 11.1.2 RC is available

We are glad to announce the RC build of IntelliJ IDEA 11.1.2.

This build includes many fixes in Git support, as well as Adobe AIR native extensions support.

You can download the new build from the EAP page or update from the IDE using “Check for updates”.

    Regarding the IDE “Check for updates” - could you please add a cancel button or esc-handler that aborts the request, or some way to background the check.

    I frequently travel by train and use 3G mobile network in Europe. If I start a check for update in the train (yeah I know, bad idea) - and I go through an area with bad reception - then Idea is completely blocked while checking for updates. There is no way to cancel the request. The only two options are to either wait for it to complete - or to kill the process.

    So, any way to cancel or background the update check will be much appreciated on my account :)

    A bit more info about IDEA being blocked. If there is no signal I quickly get a connect timed out error. However once the connection is established IDEA is blocked till the check completes - this is where I would like to have the option of aborting/backgrounding the update check so I can keep working.
