Winner of the JAX Innovation Awards
July 12th, 2012 by Hadi HaririA few weeks ago we received some good news in that we were nominated as finalists for the JAX Innovation Awards. These awards celebrate the culture of innovation that makes the JavaTM ecosystem prosper and be successful. To reach the stage of finalist, the Java community nominates companies, technologies and people that feel deserve recognition for their innovation and contributions towards the platform. A jury then makes a shortlist of finalists for each category, and finally the community votes on these.
The finals took place on the 10th of July in San Francisco during the celebration of the JAX San Francisco Conference. We are excited to announce that JetBrains won the first prize in the category of Most Innovative Java Company for 2012.
We are extremely grateful for this award, and like to thank the Organization, the Jury, as well as everyone that voted for us. Most importantly however, we’d like to thank you, our users, our customers, for believing in us during the past decade and helping shape our products.
We still have a lot more in us and many surprises up our sleeves to continue to help developers, well, develop with pleasure!
Thank you all!

Congratulations! People are always surprised when, if they have NOT heard of Jetbrains, how a “JAVA IDE company” could have built such cool IDEs for other technologies. Looking forward to more innovation!

Congratulation.
Jetbrains really deserves the award considering how much it done to innovate the java ide, web and other development tools. Besides, the way it communciates with users and developers using forum and youtrack is very good.

Well deserving and happy to see a community edition that will only accelerate more developers adapting the tool.
Using community edition gives good opportunity to explore platform and eventually in a weeks time it makes it’s mark in a way that no one wants to fall back to other IDE (until unless u need for specific reasons like plugins development etc)
