Meet August with new IntelliJ IDEA 12 EAP build 120.305
August 1st, 2012 by Maxim MossienkoTest drive a new EAP build with better middle matching in completion / goto popups and support of SuperDevMode of GWT 2.5. Also we fixed many minor UI issues in this build. You can check out complete list of changes in the new build, download it, or upgrade from within the IDE using the “Check for updates” feature.

Has any progress been made on improving performance when used over Remote Desktop Connection? I work from home and use RDC 100% of the time and am still using IDEA 9 because performance degraded significantly with IDEA 10.

Any news on an updated Python plugin that will work the IntelliJ IDEA 12 Leda EAP?

The Python plugin will be released near the end of August. For now, if you need Python support, please use IntelliJ IDEA 11.1.

Still no sign of JavaFX2 support. There are 62 Sessions to this Topic at the JavaOne 2012.
Spring has only 12 Sessions. Why do you ignore JavaFX2 ?

Tom,
We do not believe that the amount of marketing effort Oracle invests into promoting JavaFX 2 has any correspondence to actual usage of JavaFX 2 in production (current or future).

yole: any update on tentative availability of a working python plugin for IntelliJ IDEA 12 Leda EAP? I love the new build for Java dev but have to do too much Python dev in addition to Java to be able to use it right now =(

We use the aspectj-maven-plugin, and of course we use Maven as project build/management tool. This means that our configuration needs to be solely based on what’s configured in Maven. However Idea 122.202 does not weave (correctly). For Idea 10 and 11 we had an external aspectj weaving plugin but I was hoping to render it obsolete with the next major version of Idea. This does not seem to be the case.
Or should I report a feature request? :p
