		<description>Hi Konstantin,

Learned about MPS progress from Martin Volter : impressive!
Looking into this closer.

I am wondering how the generation support compares with (if at all) with the established "strategic programming".

This has evolved to a cohesive paradigm that systematically addresses the needs one faces in "program transformation".

See more in the Stratego manual:
http://releases.strategoxt.org/strategoxt-manual/unstable/manual/chunk-chapter/stratego-strategy-combinators.html
and also things like dynamic rules (context sensitive).

Eelco Visser would be able to point to key material on the idioms in this domain.

I very much believe it would be useful to do a comparison and make sure all this wealth of evolution is leveraged.

Such a comparison would also cross pollinate the two schools of thought.

Cheers
