MPS-based Issue Tracker YouTrack Goes Beta
Great news today about the first ever public product developed using MPS. New JetBrains issue tracker YouTrack (previously code-named Charisma) goes beta!
We have posted about YouTrack before, and now you can read more about YouTrack features in its own section at the JetBrains web site, watch demos, and download the beta version.
You’re also welcome to subscribe to YouTrack blog to get latest updates on the development process.
Please report bugs and request new features at YouTrack’s own instance.
YouTrack 1.0 public release is scheduled by the end of 2009.

Guys, how do you want to gather reasonable market share with pervasive domination of Atlassian’s JIRA?
Any plans for free licenses for open source projects etc?

Well, we’re expecting to get a share, otherwise we wouldn’t have uncovered.
Licensing info is not available yet (it will be available in a few weeks). We’ll elaborate on special conditions for OS projects but no guarantees yet.

i been looking at mps and dsl in general. can you detail information about how mps helped you guys develop youtrack.
for example, what new language contructs you developed and how much it helped reduce bugs, increase code readability, replaced common code and to what extent? Also, did those construct span the whole code base or just locally few sections? How many language constructs did you use?
How many lines of code did it help you not write? Of what complexity were the models did you write?
I’m just curious how it was mps was used in an actual project.
