Merry Ruby Christmas!

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

We’ve got two holiday season presents for you!

First, we’ve updated the Ruby plugin for IntelliJ IDEA. It now includes all the changes we made in RubyMine recently.

Second, we have just pushed out probably the last public build of RubyMine for 2008. Download build 558 with some stability improvements in it.

So, what to expect in the first builds in 2009? Lot’s of stuff:

  • Extract method refactoring
  • Rails Models ER Diagram in RubyMine
  • ERB templates support
  • Ruby Gems manager
  • and more…

Happy holidays!

New Rails inspection highlighting unexpected parameter values of calls such as render, redirect, url_for, etc.

New navigation gutters: Goto overriding / partial for methods, classes and modules

Check out the Release Notes for a more complete list.
